  1. this year in opal we have been doing experiments and One day we did this experiment when you put your hand in hot water and in cold water then you put your cold hand in the warm water then you put your cold hand in the warm water and the cold water was hot now and whenyou put your hot water hand in the warm water was cold water! That was cool!:) ~by Morgan

  2. In iopal I learned that the brain controled the neurons and I learned the three parts of the brain cerebellum, brain stem, and cerebrum.

  3. In opal we learned about neurons. The neurons send a message to the brain when you use ur 5 sences.Say you are eating something. The neurons send a message to the brain and back to the tounge so you can taste it

  4. In opal we have been doing some fun experiments! One time we pluged our noses and tasted animal crackers. We tasted nothing.

  5. @ EVERYBODY! In iopal we (The iopal class.) learned about the brain. We found out that neurons went all through your body. We also learned that your brainhas diffrent parts. For example, the cerebellum. Me - {CUTTED_COMMENT} less... by Patrick

  6. IN OPAL WE LEARNED ABOUT THE BRAIN AND NEURONS. NEURONS SEND MESSAGASES. THE BRAIN HAS 3 PARTS THE CEREBRUM THE CEREBELUM AND THE BRAIN STEM.THE NEURONS OK HERES AN EXAMPLE YOU TAKE A BITE OF APPLE YOUR NEURONS TELLS YOUR BRAIN YTHAT THERE IS SOMETHING TO EAT THE BRAIN TELLS YOUR BODY THAT IT'S APPLE. ~ Baker

  7. Dear Universe(or whoever is reading this,)
A lot of things happened in OPAL.My favorite thing was making a chain-reaction.I made one where I hit a golf ball and then that one hits another and that hits a toy soldier. We’re learning about the brain and neurons. OPAL is really awsome!

  8. Dear World,
In iOPAL we have been doing chain reactions. We have also been doing experiments like hot water and cold water. We each put our hand in both waters. Then we put our hands in the Luke-warm water. The hand that was in the warm water first got cold when it went into the Luke-warm water and the hand that was in the cold water first got hot when it went in the Luke-warm water. It sent messages to our brain to see if it was hot or cold. Thank you for reading THE END BYE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! By Rylee

  9. Dear World,

In iOPAL we learned about brains, nerves, and reactions. We also made a chain reaction that looked like nerves. We did an experiment a bout hot and cold water. We experienced how our body felt when we put our hands in hot, cold, then luke-warm water. It was a surprise when we put our hands in because then it felt the opposite. Thank you, and have a nice day! Adios! THE END By:Isabella

  10. In ‘IOPAL’ we are learning about different parts of the brain. And chain reactions we made our own reactions. We also learned about hot water and cold water. And when you put your hands in the luke warm water hot water = cold water and cold water = hot water. We learned about nerons and they travel through your body when your brain sends them a message to do something that it wants it to do and thats a chain reaction.

  11. Dear anyone that is reading this, in IOPAL we are learning about chain reactions like our brain sending messages through our body. We have also been doing a blog. I’ve also been learning about hot and cold water mixed together and the signals messaged the brain in different ways. We learned about the brain and how it works. The brain has many parts. Goodbye, fellow citizens of the world!P.S.this is just for my family though.from,Skyler.

  12. In iOPAL we are learning about brains and neurons it is very fun.We also did a chain reaction it was hard and fun.We did a expeerament with hot, cold and luke warm water it was very odd.Piper

  13. There are trillions of neurons in your body. They are extremely important to your body because they send messages from your brain to your body parts. For example if you want to wave your hand the brain sends a message to your hand and then you wave it. Neurons also store memory so you grow neurons every time you learn some thing new. So you can see that neurons are important to the body.-MARSHAL

Dear Ms.Byrne I love Edmodo. I also like the brain activites ! Opal is awesome ! In Opal we are learning about the brain and how it works. We have not been on the third grade reflection wall in a while.I like that most of my friends are in Opal! I am happy you are my Opal teacher. I like the game Cube Roll . It’s on brain activites. We did a game it’s hot potato whoever has the potato has to tell a fact about the brain. We do expierements. It’s so fun.We read some books about the brain.I love opal so muccccchhhhh!

  15. Dear World, Brains have different systems like the digestive system.
Edmodo is really cool because you can chat with other OPAL friends.
Neurons travel across to send us messages.

  16. Dear world

We had to put our hands in hot water and cold water. The hot water felt hot at first, hot the cold water felt cold at first. We got to put our hands in look warm water, and we put our hands in hot water and cold water again. Then we put our hands in the luke-warm water. The hand we put in cold water felt hot and the hand that I put in the hot water felt cold. Why do you tDear world

  17. Dear reader,
In iopal we are learning about the brain .I have learned that even though dolphins have bigger brains they don’t know more then us. Neurons can move faster then the speed of sound.
